And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of
any man’s life among you, but of the ship.
For there stood
by me this night the angel of
God
whose I
am, and whom I serve,
Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God
hath given thee all them that sail with thee.
Wherefore,
sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was
told me.
[Acts 27:22-25]
"And Jacob was left alone;
and there wrestled
a man
with him
until the breaking of the day.
And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow
of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he
wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he
said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him,
What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be
called no more Jacob, but Israel: for
as a prince hast thou power with
God and with men, and hast prevailed. And Jacob asked him,
and said, Tell
me, I
pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore
is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him
there.
And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel:
for
I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
[Genesis 32:24-30]
And the
angel of the LORD appeared
unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and
bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. Now therefore
beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any
unclean thing: For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor
shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from
the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the
Philistines. Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A
man of God came
unto me, and
his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very
terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name:
But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now
drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the
child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death.
Then Manoah intreated the LORD, and said, O my Lord,
let
the man of God which
thou didst send come again unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the
child that shall be born. And God hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the
angel of God came
again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her
husband was not with her.And the woman made haste, and ran, and shewed her
husband, and said unto him, Behold,
the man hath appeared
unto me, that came unto me the other day. And Manoah arose, and
went after his wife, and came
to the man, and
said unto him,
Art thou the man that
spakest unto the woman? And he said, ......
I
a m.
And Manoah said, Now let thy words come to pass. How shall we order the
child, and how shall we do unto him? And
the
angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto
the woman let her beware. She may not eat of any thing that cometh of the
vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean
thing: all that I commanded her let her observe. And
Manoah said unto the angel
of the LORD, I pray thee, let us detain thee, until we shall have
made ready a kid for thee. And the
angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I
will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou
must offer it unto the LORD. For
Manoah knew not that he was an
angel of the LORD. And Manoah said unto the
angel of the LORD, What
is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee
honour?
And the
angel of the LORD said unto him,
Why
askest thou thus after my name, seeing
it is secret?
So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto
the LORD: and
the angel did wondrously;
and Manoah and his wife looked on. For
it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar,
that the angel of the
LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife
looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.
But the
angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his
wife. Then
Manoah knew that he was an
angel of the LORD. And
Manoah said unto his wife,
We
shall surely die, because we
have seen God.
[Judges 13:1-22]
And the
angel of the LORD appeared
unto him in a flame of fire
out of the
midst of a bush:
and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was
not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great
sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the LORD saw that he turned
aside to see,
God
called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And
he said, Here am I.
[Exodus 3:2]
"Behold, I send an 'A'ngel
before thee,
to keep
thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have
prepared.
Beware
of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not;
for he
will not pardon your
transgressions:
for
my name is in him. But if thou shalt indeed obey
his voice, and do all that
I speak; then I will be an
enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
For
mine 'A'ngel shall go
before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the
Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the
Jebusites: and
I will cut them off.
[Exodus.23:20-23]
{see
Heb.1:4}
Let
no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and
worshipping of angels,
intruding into those things which he
hath
seen,
vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
[Colosians 2:18]
"Let brotherly
love continue. Be
not forgetful to entertain strangers:
for
thereby some
have entertained

[Hebrews 13:1-2]
And Achish answered and said to David,
I know that thou art good
in my sight,
AS...........
an angel of God:
notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said,
He shall not go up with us to the battle. Wherefore
now rise up early in the morning with thy
master’s servants that are come with thee:
and as
soon as ye be up early in the morning, and have light,
depart.
[1 Samuel 29:9-10]
For the king will hear, to deliver
his handmaid out of the hand of the man that would destroy
me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.
Then thine handmaid said, The
word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable:
for. AS...
an angel of God, so is my lord the king to
discern good and bad:
therefore the LORD thy God will be with thee. Then
the king answered and said unto the woman, Hide not from
me, I pray thee, the thing that I shall ask thee. And the
woman said, Let my lord the king now speak. And the king
said, Is not the hand of Joab with thee in all this? And
the woman answered and said, As thy soul liveth, my lord
the king, none
can turn to the right hand or to the left from ought that
my lord the king hath spoken: for thy servant Joab,
he bade me, and he put all these words in the mouth of
thine handmaid: To fetch about this form of speech hath
thy servant Joab done this thing:
and my
lord is wise, according
to the wisdom of an angel of God, to
know all things that are in the earth.
[2 Samuel 14:16-20]
Whereas

[2Peter 2:11]
In
that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of
Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them
at
that day shall be

and
the house of David shall be

[Zecharia 12:8]
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness,
and

[Colossians 1:13]
"But
they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world,
and the resurrection from the dead,
neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
Neither
can they die any more: for
they are equal unto the angels;
and are the children of God,
being
the children of the resurrection.
Now
that the dead are
raised,
even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord
the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of
Jacob. For
he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for
all live unto him.
[Lukw 20:35-38]
Martha saith unto him, I
know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at
the last day.
Jesus
said unto her,
I am
the resurrection,
and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were
dead,
yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth
and believeth in me
shall never
die.
Believest
thou this?
[John 11:24-26]
The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come
to save him.
Jesus,
when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the
ghost.
And,
behold, the veil of the
temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom;
and the earth
did quake, and the rocks rent; And
the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints
which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his
resurrection,
and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
Now when the centurion, and they that were with him,
watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that
were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly
this was the Son of God.
[Matthew 27:49-54]
And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had
been seen of her, believed not.
After that
he appeared in another
form
unto two of them,
as they walked, and went into the country. And they
went and told it unto the residue: neither
believed they them.
Afterward
he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided
them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because
they believed not them which had seen him after he was
risen.
[Mark 16:11-14]
{The
Jews called the Lords "WAY" an agreement
with death and hell and said that when Gods
"scourge" passed through, it wouldn't come
unto them!. THEY SAID THAT IT WAS ALL "LIES"
THEY TRUSTED IN, and because they were
"DECEIVED"
they...."HID".....themselves......UNDER THE
SHADOW of the Lord, WHOM THERE CALLING SATAN, in
'falsehood' and thus the agreement VOID!. Why don't
you think Jews will not heed the warnings of the
Lord of both the DEAD & the LIVING?}
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold,
I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone,
a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that
believeth shall not make haste. Judgment also
will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the
plummet: and
the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the
waters shall overflow the hiding place.
And
your covenant
with death shall be disannulled, and your
agreement with hell
shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall
pass through, then
ye shall be trodden down by it.
{The
"overflowing scourge" came 2000 years
ago.....JESUS CHRIST.......and from then to this day
THE
JEWS HAVE BEEN "TRODDEN DOWN BY IT"!!!}
From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you:
for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and
by night: and
it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch
himself on it: and the
covering narrower than that he can wrap himself
in it. For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim,
he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon,
that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring
to pass his act, his strange act.
Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be
made strong:
for I
have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a
consumption, even determined upon the whole
earth.
[Isaiah 28:13-22]
And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper
chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick:
and he sent messengers, and said unto them,
Go,
enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron whether I shall
recover of this disease.
But the
angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite,
Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of
Samaria, and say unto them, Is
it not because there is not a God in Israel, that ye
go to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron?
Now therefore thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not come
down from that bed on which thou art gone up,
but
shalt surely die. And Elijah departed.

[Romans 7:10]
Know ye not, that so many of us as were
baptized into Jesus Christ
were
baptized into his death?
Therefore
we are buried with him by baptism into
death:
that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the
glory of the Father,
even so we also should walk in newness of life. For
if we have been
planted together in the likeness of his death,
we shall be
also in the likeness
of his resurrection:

For ye

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto
the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth

"Watch
therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the
hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into
a far country, who
called his own servants, and delivered unto them his
goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to
another two, and to another one; to
every man according to his several ability; and
straightway took his journey. Then
he that had received the five talents went and traded
with the
same, and
made them other five talents. And likewise he
that had received two, he also gained other two. But
he that had received one went and digged in the earth,
and hid his lord’s money. After a long time the lord
of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And
so he that had received five talents came and brought
other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst
unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside
them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well
done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been
faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler
over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
He also that had received two talents came and said,
Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I
have gained two other talents beside them. His lord
said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant;
thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make
thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy
of thy lord. Then he which had received the one talent
came and said,
Lord,
I knew thee that

And I was

earth: lo,
there thou hast that is thine.
His lord answered and said unto him, Thou
wicked and slothful servant, thou
knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather
where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to
have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my
coming I should have received mine own with usury.
Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto
him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that
hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance:
but from him that hath not shall be taken away even
that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable
servant into outer darkness:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

For

Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of
Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in
the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came
it into my heart.
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD,
that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the
valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of
slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till
there be no place.

[Jeremiah 16:4]
"And I will make void the counsel of Judah

and for the beasts of the earth.
And I will make this city desolate, and an

astonished and hiss because of all the plagues
thereof. And
I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons

and
they shall

they were not able to resist the wisdom and the

suborned men, which said, We

Moses, and against God. And they stirred up
the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and
came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to
the council, And set up false witnesses, which
said,
This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words

children of the kingdom; but the tares are the
children of the wicked one;
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the
harvest is the end of the world;
and
the
reapers are the angels.
As
therefore the tares are gathered and
burned in the fire; so shall it be in
the end of this world. The
Son of man shall send
forth his angels, and they
shall gather out of his kingdom all
things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And
shall cast
them into a furnace of fire:
there
shall be
wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Then shall the righteous shine forth as
the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who
hath ears to hear, let him hear.
[Matthew 13:38-43]
And the city lieth foursquare, and the length
is as large as the breadth: and
he measured the city with the reed (Mt.12:20),
twelve
thousand furlongs. (tribes!)
The length and the breadth and the height of
it are
equal. And he measured ......the
wall...... thereof,
an
hundred and forty and four
cubits,(144,000 chosen)
according
to the
measure of a man, that is, of
the angel.
[Revelation 21:16-17]
Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive
with me: fight
against them that fight against me.
Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up
for mine help. Draw out also the spear, and
stop the way against them that persecute me:
say unto my soul, I am thy salvation. Let them
be confounded and put to shame that seek after
my soul:
let them be turned back and brought to
confusion that devise my hurt.
Let
them be as chaff
before the wind: and let the
angel of the LORD
chase
them. Let their
way be dark and slippery:
and let
the angel of the LORD
persecute them.
For without cause have they hid for me their
net in a pit, which without cause they have
digged for my soul.
Let
destruction come upon him at unawares; and let
his net that he hath hid catch himself:
into that very destruction let him fall.
And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it
shall rejoice in his salvation.

And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his

saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou

For God is my King of old, working salvation
in the midst of the earth. Thou didst divide
the sea by thy strength:
thou
brakest the heads of the
dragons in the
waters.
Thou brakest
the heads of leviathan
in pieces,
(Num.1:47-54,
3:6-13, Deut.10:8-9, Rev.5:10, Rev.20:6 etc.)
and gavest
'him' to be meat to the people
inhabiting the wilderness.

I
am a brother to dragons, and a companion

My skin is black

upon me, and my
bones are burned
(Psa.102:1-7, Nah.1:5,
Heb.13:10-13)
with heat.
[Job 30:29-30]
Now there
was a day
when
the
sons of God(Roms.8:19-20)
came to present
themselves
(2 Cor.11:20, Roms.12:1, 2Cor.5:8, Jude 24, 2
Cor.13:1, Eph. 5:27 etc.) before
the LORD,
and
{1}THE
ADVERSARY came
also among them.
And the LORD said unto {2}THE
ADVERSARY,
Whence
comest thou? (Jn 3:8)
Then {3}THE
ADVERSARY answered the LORD, and said,
From
going to
and fro in the earth, and from
walking up and down in it.(Zech.4:10)
And the LORD said unto {4}THE
ADVERSARY, Hast thou
considered my servant Job,
that there is none like him in the
earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that
feareth God, and escheweth evil?
Then {5}THE
ADVERSARY answered the
LORD, and said, Doth
Job fear God for nought?
Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and
about his house, and about all that he hath on
every side? thou hast blessed the work of his
hands, and his substance is increased in the
land.
But
put forth thine
hand now, and touch
all that he hath,
and he
will curse thee to thy face
(Deut.29:19-20, Mt.11:21, Job
2:9,Prov.3:33, Job
3:1-8, 31:29-32
etc.)
And the LORD said unto {6}THE
ADVERSARY, Behold,
all
that he hath is in thy power; only upon
himself put not forth thine hand.
So {7}THE
ADVERSARY........(Isa.11:1-2,
Rev.3:1, 4:5 etc.)....went
forth from the presence of the LORD.
And there was a day when his sons and his
daughters were eating and drinking wine in
their eldest brother’s house: And there came
a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were
plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:
And the Sabeans fell upon them,
and
took
them away; yea, they have slain
the servants with the
edge of the sword;
and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
While he was yet speaking, there came also
another, and said,
The
fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned
up the sheep, and the servants, and
consumed them;
and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
While he was yet speaking, there came also
another, and said, The Chaldeans made out
three bands, and fell upon the camels,
and
have carried
them away, yea, and slain
the servants with the edge of the sword;
and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While
he was yet speaking, there came also another,
and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were
eating and drinking wine in their eldest
brother’s house: And, behold,
there
came a great wind from
the wilderness, and smote
the four corners of the house,
and
it fell upon the young men, and they are dead;
and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. Then
Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his
head, and fell down upon the ground, and
worshipped,
And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s
womb, and naked shall I return thither:
the
LORD gave, and the
LORD hath taken away;
blessed be the
name of the LORD.
In
all this Job
sinned not, nor charged
God foolishly.

Almighty would answer me,
and
that mine adversary had written

| http://www.kolel.org/pages/reb_on_the_web/satan.html KOLEL: The Adult Centre For Liberal Jewish Learning Q: What is Judaism's take on Satan/the devil? A: Satan did originate in the Jewish Bible, but his Jewish career hasn't been as exciting as his run in Christianity. In the Hebrew Scriptures, "satan" isn't even always a proper name, but simply a noun denoting an adversary (whether human or angelic). At worst, the Satan is an angel who is the trouble-making lawyer for the prosecution in the heavenly court. In the Jewish Biblical and rabbinic imagination, he's a bit like Kenneth 'Starr': an official employee who will go to great lengths to try to get dirt on people. Especially important people like Job or Abraham. So he is dangerous, because you have to not fall for his tricks. But Judaism is just too monotheistic to have a full fledged anti-God/anti-Christ like Satan becomes in the Christian world. |

And
to Jesus

of the new covenant,
and to the

things than that of Abel.
See
that ye refuse not him that speaketh.
For if they
escaped not who refused him that spake on
earth, much
more shall not we escape, if we turn away from
him that speaketh from heaven:
Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he
hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake
not the earth only, but also heaven. And this
word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing
of those things that are shaken, as of things
that are made, that those things which cannot
be shaken may remain. Wherefore we
receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let
us have grace,
whereby we may serve God acceptably
with reverence and godly fear:
For
our God is a consuming

he that came down from heaven, even the Son of
man which is in heaven.
And

me there was no

neither shall there be after
me.
I,
even I,
am the LORD; and beside me there is

I have declared, and have saved, and I
have shewed, when there was no strange god
among you:
therefore
ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that
I am God.
Yea,

wise men backward, and maketh their

Who
hath delivered
us from the power of darkness, and hath
translated us into the kingdom of
his dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through his
blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Who
is the image of the invisible God, the
firstborn of every creature:
For
by
him were all
things created, that
are in heaven, and that are in earth,
visible and invisible, whether
they be thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all
things were created by
him,
and
for
him:
And
he is before all things, and by him all
things consist. And he is the head
of the body, the church:
who is the beginning, the firstborn
from the dead;
that
in all things he
might have the
preeminence.
For it pleased the Father that
in him should all fulness dwell;
And, having made peace through the blood
of his cross, by him to reconcile all
things unto
himself; by him, I say, whether they be
things in earth, or things in heaven.
[Colossians 1:13-20]
I
am the LORD, and there
is none else,
there
is no
God beside me:
I girded thee, though thou hast not
known me:
That they may know from the rising of the
sun, and from the west,
that
there is none
beside me.
I
am the LORD, and there is none
else.
I form the light,
and create
darkness:
I
make peace, and create
evil:
I
the LORD do
all these things.
[Isaiah 45:5-7]
See

is no god with me:
I
kill,
and I
make alive;
I wound, and I
heal:
neither
is there
any
that can deliver out of my hand.
For
I
lift up my
hand to heaven, and.... 'say'..., I
live for ever.
If
I
whet my glittering sword, and mine
hand take hold on judgment; I will
render vengeance to mine enemies, and will
reward them that 'hate me'. I
will make mine arrows drunk with blood,
and my sword shall devour flesh; and that
with the blood of the slain and of the
captives, from the beginning of revenges upon
the enemy.
[Deuteronomy 32:39-42]
For there is not a word in my
tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it
altogether.
Thou hast beset me behind and before, and
laid thine hand upon me.
Such
knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is
high, I cannot attain unto it.
Whither
shall I go from thy spirit? or whither
shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up
into heaven, thou art there: if
I make my bed in hell, behold, thou
art there.
If
I take the
wings of the morning, and dwell
in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Even
there shall thy hand lead me, and thy
right hand shall hold me.
If I say, Surely the darkness shall
cover me; even the night shall be light
about me.
Yea,
the darkness hideth not from thee;
but
the night shineth as the day:
the
darkness and the light
are
both alike to thee.
For thou hast possessed my reins:
thou hast covered me in my mother’s
womb.

[Isaiah 45:18]
Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let
them take counsel together:
who

hath told it from that time? have not I
the LORD?
Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I

declared it? ye are even my witnesses.

me?
yea,
there is no

I know not any.

man of war:
he

hot against Israel,
and he

spoilers that spoiled them,
and
he
sold them
into the hands of their enemies round
about,
so that they could not any longer

[Judges 2:14]
Therefore
the anger of
the LORD was
hot against Israel,
and
he sold them
into
the hand of Chushanrishathaim king of
Mesopotamia:
and the children of Israel served
Chushanrishathaim eight years.
[Judges 3:8]
And
the anger of the LORD was hot against
Israel,
and
he sold them
into
the hands of the Philistines, and into
the hands of the children of Ammon.
And that year they vexed and oppressed
the children of Israel: eighteen
years, all the children of Israel that
were on the other side Jordan in the
land of the Amorites, which is in
Gilead. Moreover the children of Ammon
passed over Jordan to fight also
against Judah, and against Benjamin,
and against the house of Ephraim; so
that Israel was sore distressed.
And the children of Israel cried unto
the LORD, saying, We have sinned
against thee,
both
because we have forsaken
our God, and also served
Baalim.
And the LORD said unto the children of
Israel, Did not I deliver you from the
Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from
the children of Ammon, and from the
Philistines? The Zidonians also, and
the Amalekites, and the Maonites,
did oppress you; and ye cried to me,
and I delivered you out of their hand.
Yet
ye have forsaken me, and served other
gods:
wherefore
I will deliver you no
more.
Go
and cry unto the gods which ye have
chosen; let them deliver you in the
time of your tribulation.
[Judges 10:7-14]
"And
the children of Israel again
did evil
in the sight of the LORD, when
Ehud was dead.
And the LORD
sold
them
into
the hand of Jabin king
of Canaan,
that reigned in Hazor; the
captain of whose host was Sisera,
which dwelt in Harosheth of the
Gentiles."
[Judges 4:1-2]
And
when they forgat the LORD their God,
he
sold them
into
the hand of Sisera, captain of the
host of Hazor, and into the hand of
the Philistines, and into the hand of
the king of Moab, and they
fought against them.
And they cried unto the LORD, and
said, We have sinned,
because
we have forsaken
the LORD, and have served
Baalim and
Ashtaroth:
but now deliver us out of the hand of
our enemies, and we will serve thee.
[1 Samuel 12:9-10]
Thus saith the LORD, Where is the bill
of your mother’s divorcement, whom I
have put away?
or
which of my
creditors is it to whom I
have sold you?
Behold, for
your iniquities have
ye
sold yourselves,
and
for your transgressions is your mother
put away. (HEAVENLY JERUSALEM!)
Wherefore, when I came, was there no
man? when I called, was there none to
answer? Is
my hand shortened at all, that it
cannot redeem? or have I no power to
deliver? behold, at my rebuke I
dry up the sea, I make the rivers a
wilderness: their fish stinketh,
because there is no water, and dieth
for thirst. I clothe the heavens
with blackness, and I make sackcloth
their covering. The Lord GOD hath
given me the tongue of the learned,
that I should know how to speak a
word in season to him that is
weary:
he
wakeneth morning
by morning, he wakeneth mine
ear to hear as the learned.
The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and
I was not rebellious, neither turned
away back.
I gave my back to the smiters, and my
cheeks to them that plucked off the
hair: I hid not my face from shame and
spitting. For the Lord GOD will
help me; therefore shall I not be
confounded:
therefore have I set my face like a
flint,
and I know that I shall not be
ashamed.
He
is near
that justifieth me; who
will contend
with me? let us
stand together: who
is mine adversary?
let
him come near to me.
Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who
is he that shall condemn me?
lo, they all shall wax old as a
garment; the moth shall eat them up.
Who is among you that feareth the
LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his
servant, that
walketh in darkness, and hath no
light? let him trust in the name of
the LORD, and stay upon his God.
Behold,
all ye that kindle
a fire, that compass yourselves
about with sparks: walk in the light
of your fire, and in the sparks that
ye have kindled. This shall
ye have of mine hand;..........
ye
shall lie down in sorrow.
[Isaiah ch.50]
The
time is come, the day draweth near:
let not the buyer rejoice, nor the
seller mourn:
for
wrath is upon all
the multitude thereof.
For the
seller shall not
return to that which is
sold,
although
they were yet alive: for the vision is
touching the whole multitude thereof,
which shall not return; neither shall
any strengthen himself in the iniquity
of his life.
They
have blown the trumpet, even to make
all ready;
but
none goeth
to the battle:
for
my wrath is upon all the multitude
thereof.
[Ezekial 7:12-14]
The
LORD hath also a controversy
with Judah,
and
will punish
Jacob
according to his ways; according to
his doings will he recompense him.
He
took his brother by
the heel in the womb,
and by his
strength he
had power with God:
Yea, he had
power over
the
angel,
and
prevailed:
he wept, and made supplication unto
him: he found him in Bethel, and
there he spake with us;
Even
the LORD God of hosts; the
LORD is his memorial.
[Hosea 12:2-5]
For he said, Surely they are my
people,
children that will not
lie: so he was their Saviour.
In
all their affliction he was afflicted,
and
the angel of his presence
saved them:
in
his love and in his pity he redeemed
them; and he bare them, and carried
them all the days of old.
But
they rebelled, and vexed
his holy Spirit: therefore
he was turned
to be their enemy,
and he
fought against them.

Take
ye therefore good heed unto yourselves;
for
ye saw no
manner of similitude
on
the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb
out of the midst of the fire:
Lest ye
corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven
image, the
similitude of any figure,
the likeness of male or female, The likeness
of any
beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any
winged fowl that flieth in the air,
The
likeness of any
thing
that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any
fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:
And lest
thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when
thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the
stars,

all the
host of heaven,
shouldest
be driven to worship them,
and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath
divided unto
all
nations under the whole heaven.
[Deuteronomy
2:15-19]
And he
said, Hear
thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the
LORD sitting on his throne,
and
all the host
of heaven standing by him on his
right hand and on his left.
And the
LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he
may go up and fall at Ramothgilead?
And one
said on this manner, and another said on that
manner.
And
there came forth a
spirit,
and stood
before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.
And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith?
And he said,
I
will go forth, and I will be a
lying spirit in the mouth
of all his prophets.
And
he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail
also: go forth, and do so.
Now
therefore, behold, the
LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of
all these thy prophets,
and
the
LORD hath spoken
evil concerning thee.
But
Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and

[1 Kings
22:19-25]
And they
left all the commandments of the LORD their
God, and made them molten images,
even two
calves, and made a grove,
and
worshipped all the
host of heaven, and served Baal.
And
they caused their sons and their daughters to
pass through the fire,
and used divination and enchantments, and sold
themselves to do evil in the sight of the
LORD, to provoke him to anger.
[2 Kings
17:16]
For he
built up again the high places which Hezekiah
his father had destroyed; and
he reared up altars for Baal,
and made a
grove, as did Ahab king of Israel;
and
worshipped all the
host of heaven, and
served them.
And
he built altars in the house of the LORD, of
which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put
my name.
And
he built altars for all the
host of heaven in the
two courts of the house of the LORD.
And
he made his son pass through the fire,
and
observed times,
and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar
spirits and wizards: he wrought much
wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to
provoke him to anger.
[2 Kings
21:3-6]
"And
the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest,
and the priests of the second order, and the
keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the
temple of the LORD all
the vessels that were made for Baal,
and for the grove,
and
for all the
host of heaven:
and he
burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of
Kidron, and
carried the ashes of them unto Bethel.
And he put
down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of
Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high
places in the cities of Judah, and in the
places round about Jerusalem; them
also that burned incense unto
Baal,
to
the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets,
and
to all the
host of heaven.
And he
brought out the grove from the house of the
LORD, without Jerusalem, unto the brook
Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and
stamped it small to powder, and cast the
powder thereof upon the graves of the children
of the people.
And
he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that
were by the house of the LORD,
where the
women wove hangings for the grove.
[2 Kings

And they
helped David against the band of the rovers:
for they were all mighty men of valour, and
were captains in the host.
For
at that time day by day there came to David to
help him,
until
it was a great host, like
the host of God.
[1Chronicles
12:21-22]

thou hast
made heaven, the
heaven of heavens, with all their host,
the earth, and all things that are therein,
the
seas, and all that is therein, and thou
preservest them all;
and
the
host of heaven worshippeth thee.
[Nehemiah
9:6]
For the
indignation of the LORD is upon all nations,
and his fury upon all their armies: he hath
utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them
to the slaughter. Their slain also shall be
cast out, and their stink shall come up out of
their carcases, and the mountains shall be
melted with their blood.
And
all
the host of heaven shall be dissolved,
and the
heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll:
and all their host shall fall down,
as
the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a
falling fig from the fig tree.
For my
sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it
shall come down upon Idumea,
and
upon the people of my curse, to judgment.
[Isaiah
34:2-5]

[Jeremiah
19:13]
As
the
host of heaven cannot be numbered,
neither the sand of the sea measured:
so will I

the Levites that minister unto me.
[Jeremiah
33;22]
And out of
one of them came forth a little horn, which
waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and
toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.
And it waxed great,
even
to
the host of heaven;
and
it
cast down some of the host and of the stars
to the
ground, and
stamped upon them.
Yea, he
magnified himself even to the prince
of the host,
and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away,
and
the place of his sanctuary was
cast down.
And an host
was given him against the daily sacrifice by
reason of transgression, and
it cast down the truth to the ground; and it
practised, and prospered.Then
I heard one saint speaking,
and another
saint said unto that certain saint which
spake, How long shall be the vision concerning
the daily sacrifice,
and
the transgression of desolation,
to give both the sanctuary
and
the
host to be trodden
under foot?
And he said
unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred
days; "then"
shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

them that

upon
the housetops;
and
them that worship and that swear by the LORD,
and that swear by Malcham; And them that are
turned back from the LORD; and those that have
not sought the LORD, nor enquired for him.
[Zephania
1:4-6]
And
suddenly there was with the angel a
multitude of
the

and
saying,Glory to God in the highest, and on
earth peace, good will toward men.
And it came
to pass, as
the angels were gone away from them into
heaven,
the shepherds said one to another, Let us now

which is come to pass, which the Lord hath
made known unto us.
[Luke
2:13-15]
And they

sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the
works of their own hands.
Then
God "turned", and gave them

WIND

Arise, get
you up unto the wealthy nation, that
dwelleth without care, saith the LORD,
which have neither gates nor bars, which
dwell alone. And their camels shall
be a booty,
and the multitude of their cattle a spoil:
and
I will scatter into all winds them that
are in the utmost corners;
and I will bring their calamity from all
sides thereof, saith the LORD.
[Jeremiah 42:31-32]
And upon Elam
will
I bring the four winds from the
four quarters of heaven,
and
will scatter them toward all those winds;
and there shall be no nation whither the
outcasts of Elam shall not come. For I
will cause Elam to be dismayed before
their enemies, and before them that seek
their life: and
I will bring evil upon them, even my
fierce anger, saith the LORD;
and
I will send the sword after them,
till
I have consumed
them:
[Jeremiah 49:36-37]
Therefore
the fathers shall eat
the sons in the midst of thee, and the
sons shall eat
their
fathers;
and I will execute
judgments in thee,
and
the
whole remnant of thee will I
scatter into all
the winds.
Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD;
Surely, because thou hast defiled my
sanctuary with all thy detestable things,
and with all thine abominations, therefore
will I also diminish thee; neither shall
mine eye spare, neither
will I have any pity. A third part of thee
shall die with the pestilence, and with
famine shall they be consumed in the midst
of thee: and a third part shall fall by
the sword round about thee; and I will
scatter a third part into all the winds,
and I will draw out a sword after them.
[Ezekial 5:10-12]
And every one that heareth these sayings
of mine, and doeth them not, shall be

his house upon the sand: And the rain
descended, and
the floods came,
and
the winds blew,
and beat upon that house; and
it fell: and great was the fall of it.

And Moses stretched forth his rod over the
land of Egypt, and
the LORD brought an
east wind upon the land all that day, and
all that night;
and when it was morning, the east wind
brought the locusts.
And the locusts went up over all the land
of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of
Egypt: very
grievous were they; before them there were
no such locusts as they, neither after
them shall be such.
[Exodus 10:13-14]
There went up a smoke out of his nostrils,
and
fire

were kindled
by it.
He bowed the heavens also, and came down;
and darkness was under his feet.
And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly:
and
he was seen

And he made darkness

and thick clouds of the skies.
Through
the

fire kindled.
The LORD thundered from heaven, and the
most High uttered his voice.

for his name alone is excellent;
his
glory is above the earth and

them before Aaron the priest, that they

And
they

the tabernacle of the congregation,
to do the service of the tabernacle.
And they
shall keep all
the instruments of the tabernacle of the
congregation, and the charge of the
children of Israel, to do the service of
the tabernacle.
And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron
and to his sons: they are wholly given
unto him out of the children of Israel. And
thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons,
and
they shall wait

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
And

To cause it to rain on the earth, where

Say unto them which daub it with
untempered morter,
that

hailstones, shall fall; and a
stormy wind shall rend it.
Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not
be said unto you, Where is the daubing
wherewith
ye have daubed it? Therefore thus saith
the Lord GOD;
I
will even rend it with a
stormy wind in my fury;
and there
shall be an overflowing shower in mine
anger, and great hailstones in my fury to
consume it. So will I break down
the wall that ye have daubed with
untempered morter, and bring it down to
the ground, so that the foundation thereof
shall be discovered, and it shall fall,
and
ye
shall be consumed in the midst thereof:
and ye shall know that I
am the LORD.
Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the
wall,
and upon them that have daubed it with
untempered morter, and will say unto you,
The wall is no more, neither they
that daubed it;
[Ezekial 13:10-15]
Let them be confounded and put to shame
that seek after my soul: let them be

Let

Let
their

the
angel of the LORD
persecute them.
For without cause have they hid for me
their net in a pit, which without cause
they have digged for my soul. Let
destruction come upon him at unawares; and
let his net that he hath hid catch
himself: into that very destruction let
him fall. And my soul shall be
joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in
his salvation.
[Psalm 35:4-9]
He
hath cut off in his fierce anger all the
horn of Israel: he hath drawn back
his right hand from before the enemy,
and
he burned
against Jacob like a flaming fire,
which devoureth

He
hath bent his bow like
an enemy: he
stood with
his right
hand as an adversary,
and
slew
all that were pleasant to the eye in the
tabernacle of the daughter of Zion:
he
poured out his fury like fire.
The
Lord was as
an enemy: he hath swallowed
up Israel,
he
hath swallowed up all her palaces: he hath
destroyed his strong holds, and hath
increased in the daughter of Judah
mourning and lamentation.
And
he hath violently
taken
away his
tabernacle,
as if it

he
hath destroyed his places of the assembly:
the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and
sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath
despised in the indignation of his anger
the king and the priest.
The
Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath
abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up
into the hand of the enemy the walls of
her palaces; they have made a noise in the
house of the LORD, as in the day of a
solemn feast.
The
LORD hath
purposed to destroy
the wall
of the daughter
of Zion:
he hath stretched out a line, he hath 'not'
withdrawn his hand from destroying:
therefore
he
made the rampart and the wall to lament;
they languished together. Her
gates are sunk into the ground; he hath
destroyed and broken her bars: her
king and
her princes are 'among'
the Gentiles: the
law is no

prophets
also find no vision from the LORD.
[Lamentations 2:3-9]
How
oft is the candle of the wicked put out!
and how oft cometh their destruction upon
them!
God
distributeth sorrows in his anger.
They

the wind, and as chaff that
the storm carrieth away.
[Job 21:17-18]
I
will ransom them from the power of the
grave; I will redeem them from death: O
death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I
will be thy destruction: repentance
shall be hid from mine eyes.
Though he be fruitful among his brethren,
an
east wind shall come, the wind of the LORD
shall come up from the wilderness, and his
spring shall become dry, and his fountain
shall be dried up: he shall
spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.
[Hosea 13:14-15]
Thou
carriest
them away as with a flood; they
are as a sleep:
in the morning they are like grass
which groweth up. In the morning it
flourisheth, and groweth up;
in
the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
For
we are consumed
by thine anger, and by
thy wrath are we troubled.
[Psalm 90-5-7]
And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam,
prophesied of these, saying,
Behold,
the Lord cometh
with ten thousands of his saints,
To

judgment upon all,
and to convince all that are ungodly among
them of all their ungodly deeds which they
have ungodly committed, and of all
their hard speeches which ungodly sinners
have spoken against him

fearful, O ye of little faith?
Then
he arose, and rebuked the
winds and the sea; and there was
a great calm.
But the men marvelled, saying, What
manner of man is this, that even the winds
and the sea obey him!
[Matthew 8:25-27]
And after these things I
saw four angels standing on the four
corners of the earth,
holding
the
four winds of the earth,
that.... the
wind..... should
not blow on the earth, nor on the
sea, nor on any tree.
And I saw another angel ascending from the
east, having the seal of the living God:
and he cried with a loud voice to the four
angels, to whom it was given to hurt the
earth and the sea,
Saying, Hurt
not
the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees,
till
we have sealed the servants of our God in
their foreheads.
[7:1-3]
The
angel of the LORD
encampeth
round about them that
fear him, and delivereth them.
[Psalm 34:7]
And I said,
Oh
that I had wings like
a dove! for then
would I fly
away, and be
at rest.
Lo, then
would
I wander far off, and remain in the
wilderness. Selah.
I
would hasten
my escape from the
windy storm and tempest.
[Psalm 55:6-8]
Who hath ascended
up into heaven, or descended?
who
hath gathered the
wind in his fists?
who
hath bound the waters in a garment?
who hath established all the ends of the
earth?
what
is
his name, and what is his son’s name,
if thou
canst tell?
[Proverbs 30:4]
Dost thou know the balancings of the
clouds, the wondrous works of him which is
perfect in knowledge?
How thy garments are warm, when he
quieteth the earth by the south
wind?
Hast
thou with him spread out the sky, which is
strong,
and
as a molten
looking glass?
{Rev.4:6, 15:2, 21:21, 1 Cor.13:2, 2
Cor.3:18, Jam.1:23-24}
Teach us what we shall say unto him; for
we cannot order our speech by reason of
darkness.
Shall it be told him that I speak?
if
a man speak,
surely
he shall be swallowed up.
And
now men see
not the
bright light
which
is in the clouds:
but
the
wind
passeth, and cleanseth
them.
"Fair"
weather cometh out of the
"north": with God is terrible
majesty.
[Job 37:16-22]
Then
was the iron, the clay, the brass, the
silver, and the gold, broken
to pieces together,
and
became like the
chaff of the
'summer
threshingfloors';
and
the
wind carried them away,
that no place was found for them:
and
the
stone that smote the image became a
great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
[Danial 2:35]
And when
the
angel stretched
out his hand upon
Jerusalem to destroy it,
the
LORD repented him of the evil, and said to
the angel
that destroyed
the people, It is enough:
stay now thine hand.
And
the
angel of the LORD was by the "threshingplace"
of Araunah the Jebusite.
[2 Samuel 24:16]
Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and
said,
Should
a wise man utter vain
knowledge,
and
fill his
belly with the east wind?
Should he reason with unprofitable talk?
or with speeches wherewith he can do no
good?
Yea, thou castest
off fear(1Jn.4:18),
and restrainest prayer before God.
[Job 15:1-4]
The
sorrows of death compassed me,
and the
floods of ungodly
men made me afraid.
The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the
snares of death prevented me.
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and
cried unto my God: he heard my voice out
of his temple, and my cry came
before him, even into his ears. Then the
earth shook and trembled; the foundations
also of the hills moved and were shaken,
because he was wroth.
There went up a smoke out of his nostrils
(Rev.9:2), and
fire
out of his mouth devoured:
coals were kindled
by it.
He
bowed the heavens also, and came down: and
darkness was under his feet.
And
he
rode upon a cherub(Ezek.28:14), and
did fly:
yea, he did fly upon
the
wings of the wind.
He
made darkness his secret place; his
pavilion round about him were dark waters
and thick clouds of the skies.
At the brightness that was before him his
thick clouds passed, hail
stones and coals of fire. The
LORD also thundered in the heavens, and
the Highest gave his voice;
hail stones and coals of
fire.
Yea,
he sent
out his arrows, and scattered them;
and
he shot out lightning's,
and discomfited them.
Then the channels of waters were
seen, and the foundations of the world
were discovered at
thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of
the breath of thy nostrils. He
sent from above, he took me, he drew me
out of many waters. He delivered me from
my strong enemy, and from them which hated
me: for they were too strong for me.
[Psalm 18:4-17]
And, behold, six
men
came from the
way of the
higher gate, which
lieth toward the north, and
every man a slaughter weapon in his hand;
and
one
man
among them was
clothed
with linen,
with a writer’s inkhorn by his
side: and they went in, and stood
beside the brasen altar.
And the glory of
the God of Israel was gone
up from 'the'
cherub,
whereupon he was,
to the threshold of the house. And
he called to the
man clothed with linen, which had
the writer’s inkhorn by his side; And
the LORD said unto him,
Go through the midst of the city,
through the midst of Jerusalem
, and set a mark upon
the foreheads of the men that sigh
and that cry for all the abominations that
be done
in the midst thereof.
And to the others
he said in mine hearing, Go ye after
him through the city,
and
smite:
let not your eye spare, neither have ye
pity: Slay
utterly old and young, both maids,
and little
children, and women:
but come not near any .........man........
upon
whom is the
mark; and begin at my sanctuary.
Then they began at the ancient men which
were before the house. And he said unto
them, Defile
the house,
and
fill the courts with the slain: go ye
forth. And they went forth,
and
slew in
the city.
And it came to pass, while
they were slaying them, and I was left,
that I fell upon my face, and cried, and
said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all
the residue of Israel in thy pouring out
of thy fury upon Jerusalem? Then
said he unto me, The
iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah
is exceeding
great, and the land
is full of blood, and the city full of
perverseness: for they say, The
LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD
seeth not. And as for me also,
mine eye shall
not spare, neither will I have pity,
but I will recompense their way upon their
head.
And, behold, the
man clothed with linen, which had
the inkhorn by his side,
reported
the matter, saying,
I have done
as thou hast
commanded me.
Then I looked, and, behold, in
the firmament that was above
the
head
of ...the cherubim...'s'...
there appeared over them as it were a
sapphire ....stone....,
as
the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
And he spake unto the
man clothed with linen, and said,
Go
in
between the wheels, even under
'the' cherub,
and
fill thine hand with coals of fire from between
the cherubim..'s'...
and scatter them over the city. And
he went in in my sight.
Now
the cherubims stood on the right
side of the house, when
the man went in;
and
the cloud filled the inner court.
Then the
glory of the LORD went
up from
'the'
cherub,
and stood over the threshold of the house;
and the
house was filled with the cloud,
and
the court was full of the brightness of
the LORD’S glory.
And
the sound of the cherubim..'s'..’
wings
was heard even
to the outer court, as the voice of the
Almighty God when he speaketh.
And it came to pass, that when he had
commanded
the man clothed with linen, saying,
Take
...fire... from between
the wheels, from between
the cherubim..'s'..
then he went in, and stood beside
the wheels.
And
one
cherub stretched
forth his hand from between
the cherubim..s... unto
the 'fire' that was between the cherubims,
and took thereof, and
put it into the hands of him that was
clothed with linen:
who took it, and went out.
And
there appeared in the cherubim...s... the
form of a man’s hand under their wings.
[Ezekial 9:2-11, 10:1-8]
So
he drove out the man; and he placed
at the
east of the garden of Eden
Cherubim...'s',
and
a
flaming
sword which 'turned every way',
to keep
the way
of the tree of life.
[Genesis 3:24]
And it came to pass, that the beggar died,
and
was carried by the angels into
Abraham’s bosom:
the rich man also died, and was buried; And
in hell he lift up his eyes, being in
torments,
and
seeth Abraham afar off,
(Gen.22:4,Jn.8:56-58,
Mk.9:35)
and Lazarus in his bosom.
[Luke 16:22-23, ]
And when the day of Pentecost was fully
come, they were all with one accord in one
place.
And
suddenly there came a sound from heaven as
of a rushing
mighty wind,
and it filled all the house where they
were sitting.
And
there appeared unto them 'cloven' tongues like
as of fire,
and
it sat upon each of them. And they were
all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began
to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit
gave them utterance.
[Acts 2 :1-4]
Knowing this first,
that
there shall come
in the last days scoffers,
walking after their own lusts,
And
saying, Where is the
promise of
his
coming?
for
since the fathers fell asleep, all things
continue as they were
from the beginning of the creation.
For
this they willingly are ignorant of,
that
by the word of God the heavens were of
old, and the earth standing out of the
water and in the water: Whereby the world
that then was, being overflowed with water,
perished:
But
the
heavens and the earth,
which
are now,
by
the same word are kept in store, reserved
unto
f
i r e
against
the day of judgment and perdition of
ungodly men.
But, beloved, be
not ignorant of this one thing, that one
day is with the Lord as a thousand years,
and a thousand years as one day.
The
Lord is not slack
concerning
his promise, as some men
count
slackness;
but is longsuffering to us-ward, not
willing that any should perish, but that
all should come to repentance.
But the
day of the Lord will come as a thief
in the night;
in the which the
heavens
shall
pass away with a great noise, and
the
elements shall melt with fervent heat, the
earth also and the works that are therein
shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all
these things shall be
dissolved,
what
manner
of persons ought
ye to be in all holy conversation
and godliness,
Looking
for and hasting (???) unto
the coming of the day of God,
wherein
the heavens
being
on fire shall
be dissolved, and the
elements shall melt
with fervent
heat?
Nevertheless
we, according to his promise, look for new
heavens and a new earth,
wherein
dwelleth righteousness.
Wherefore,
beloved, seeing that ye look for such
things, be diligent that ye may be found
of him in peace, without spot, and
blameless.
[2 Pet 3:3-14]
{Hmm....the
heavens "BEING ON FIRE"???}
And he answered,
Fear
not: for they that be with us are
more than
they that be with them.
And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD,
I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may
see. And the LORD opened the eyes
of the young man; and he saw: and,
behold, the
mountain was full of horses and chariots
of fire
round about Elisha.
And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed
unto the LORD, and said, Smite
this people, I pray thee, with blindness.
And he smote them with blindness according
to the word of Elisha.
[2 Kings 6:16-18]
And others save with fear,
pulling
them out of the fire
; hating even the garment spotted by the
flesh.
[Jude 23]
And
call ye on the name of your
"gods", and
I will call on the
name of the
LORD:
and
the God that answereth
by fire,
let him be God.
And all the people answered and said, It
is well spoken.
[1 Kings 18:24]
For I will defend this city, to
save it, for mine own sake, and
for my servant David’s sake.
And
it came to pass that night, that the
angel of the LORD went out, and
smote
in the camp of the Assyrians an
hundred fourscore and five thousand:
and when they arose early in the
morning, behold, they were all dead
corpses.
[2 Kings 19:34-35]
Suffer
not thy mouth to
cause thy flesh to sin;
neither
say thou before the angel,
that it was an error:
wherefore
should God be angry at thy voice, and
destroy the work of thine hands?
For in the multitude of dreams and
many words there are also divers
vanities: but
fear thou God.
[Ecclesiastes 5:6-7]
And there
came an angel of the LORD, and
sat under an oak which was in
Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the
Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed
wheat by the winepress, to hide it
from the Midianites. And
the angel of the LORD appeared unto him,
and said unto him, The LORD is with thee,
thou mighty man of valour. And Gideon said
unto him, Oh my Lord, if
the LORD be with us, why then is all this
befallen us? and where be all his miracles
which our fathers told us of, saying, Did
not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but
now the LORD hath forsaken us, and
delivered us into the hands of the
Midianites. And the LORD looked
upon him, and said,
Go
in this thy
might, and thou shalt save Israel
from the hand of the Midianites: have not
I sent thee? And he said unto him,
Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel?
behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and
I am the least in my father’s house. And
the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be
with thee,
and thou
shalt smite the Midianites as
one
man.
And he said unto him, If now I have found
grace in thy sight,
then shew me a sign that thou talkest with
me. Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I
come unto thee, and bring forth my
present, and set it before thee.
And he said, I will tarry until thou come
again. And Gideon went in, and made ready
a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of
flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and
he put the broth in a pot, and brought it
out unto him under the oak, and presented
it. And
the angel of God said unto him, Take
the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and
lay them upon this rock, and pour out the
broth. And he did so.
Then
the angel of the LORD put
forth the end of the staff that was
in his hand, and touched
the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there
rose up fire
out of the rock,
and consumed the flesh and the
unleavened cakes.
Then
the angel of the LORD departed out
of his sight.
And when Gideon perceived that he
was an angel of the LORD, Gideon said,
Alas, O Lord GOD! for because I have seen
an angel of the LORD face
to face. And the LORD said
unto him, Peace
be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.
Then Gideon built an altar there unto the
LORD, and called it Jehovah shalom: unto
this day it is yet in Ophrah of the
Abiezrites.
[Judges 6:11-24]
And I looked, and behold
a white cloud, and upon the cloud one
sat like unto the Son of man, having on
his head a golden crown,
and
in his hand a
sharp sickle.
And another angel came out of the
temple, crying with a loud voice to him
that sat on the cloud,
Thrust
in thy sickle, and
reap: for
the time is come for thee
to reap; for
the harvest of the
earth is ripe.
And
he that sat on the cloud thrust
in his sickle on
the earth; and
the earth was reaped. And another
angel came out of the temple
which is in heaven, he
also having a sharp sickle. And another
angel came out from
the altar,
which had power
over fire;
and cried with a loud cry to
him that had the sharp sickle,
saying, Thrust
in thy sharp sickle, and gather
the
clusters of the vine of the earth; for her
grapes are fully ripe. And the angel
thrust in his sickle into the earth, and
gathered
the
vine of the
earth,......
and cast
it into the great winepress of the
wrath of God.
And
the winepress was trodden
without the
city, and
blood came out of the winepress, even
unto the horse bridles, by the space of a
thousand and six hundred furlongs.
[Revelation 14:14-20]
And I heard another voice from heaven,
saying,
Come
out of her,
my people,
that ye be not partakers of her
sins, and that ye receive not of her
plagues. For her
sins have reached unto heaven, and God
hath remembered her
iniquities.
Reward
her
even as she
rewarded you,
and
double
unto
her double according to her
works:
in the cup which
she hath filled
fill
to her double.
How much she
hath glorified herself,
and lived deliciously, so
much torment and sorrow
give
her:
for she
saith in her
heart,
I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall
see no sorrow. Therefore shall
her plagues come in one
day,
death, and mourning, and famine;
and
she
shall be utterly burned
with fire:
for
strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
[Revelation 18:4-8]
Now while Paul waited for them at Athens,
his
spirit
was stirred in him, when
he saw the city wholly given to
idolatry.
Therefore
disputed he in the synagogue with the
Jews, and with the devout persons, and in
the market daily with them that met with him. Then
certain philosophers of the Epicureans,
and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And
some said, What will this babbler say?
other some, He
seemeth to be a setter forth of strange
gods: because
he preached unto them Jesus, and the
resurrection. And they took
him, and brought him unto Areopagus,
saying, May
we know what this new doctrine,
whereof thou speakest, is? For thou
bringest certain strange things to our
ears: we would know therefore what these
things mean. (For all the Athenians and
strangers which were there spent their
time in nothing else, but either to tell,
or to hear some new thing.) Then
Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill,
and said, Ye men of Athens,
I
perceive that in all
things ye are too superstitious.
For as I passed by, and beheld your
devotions,
I found an altar with this inscription,
TO
THE UNKNOWN
GOD.
Whom
therefore ye "ignorantly"
worship,
him
declare I unto you.
God
that made the world and all things
therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven
and earth, dwelleth not in temples made
with hands; Neither is worshipped with
men’s hands, as though he needed any
thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and
breath, and all things;
And
hath made of one blood all
nations of men for to dwell on all the
face of the earth, and hath
determined the times before appointed, and
the bounds of their habitation; That
they should seek the Lord, if haply they
might feel after him, and find him, though
he be not far from every one of us:
For in him we live, and move, and have our
being; as
certain also of your own poets have said,
For we are
also his
offspring.
Forasmuch
then as we are the offspring of God, we
ought not to think that the Godhead is
like unto gold, or silver, or stone,
graven by art and man’s device.
And the
times of this ignorance God winked
at; but
now
commandeth all men every
where to repent:
Because
he hath appointed a day, in the which he
will judge the world in righteousness by
that man whom he hath ordained;
whereof
he hath
given assurance unto all
men, in that he hath raised
him from the dead.
And
when they heard of the resurrection of the
dead, some mocked: and others said,
We
will hear thee again of this matter.
[Acts 17:6-32]
Then said Paul, I
stand at Caesar’s judgment seat, where I
ought to be judged: to the Jews
have I done no wrong, as thou very well
knowest. For if I be an offender, or have
committed any thing worthy of death, I
refuse not to die: but if there be
none of these things whereof these accuse
me, no man may deliver me unto them. I
appeal unto Caesar. Then Festus,
when he had conferred with the council,
answered, Hast thou appealed unto Caesar?
unto Caesar shalt thou go. And after
certain days king Agrippa and Bernice came
unto Caesarea to salute Festus. And when
they had been there many days, Festus
declared Paul’s cause unto the king,
saying, There is a certain man left in
bonds by Felix: About whom, when I was at
Jerusalem, the
chief
priests and the elders of the Jews
informed me, desiring to have judgment
against him. To
whom I answered, It is not the manner of
the Romans to deliver any man to die,
before
that he which is accused have the accusers
face
to face,
and have licence to answer for
himself concerning the crime laid against
him. Therefore, when they were come
hither, without any delay on the morrow I
sat on the judgment seat, and commanded
the man to be brought forth.
Against
whom when the accusers stood
up,
they
brought none accusation of such things as
I supposed:
But had certain
questions against him of
their own superstition,
and
of one Jesus, which
was dead, whom Paul affirmed
to be alive.
[Acts 25:10-19]
Yea,
what saith ye?
What dost thou believest?
